The best DPS in the game is only 24th in the overall ranking. That is normal: an attacker piles points into ATK and pays for it elsewhere. So the DPS ranking weights attack at 45 %, total at 25 %, BREAK and HP at 15 % each — that mix is what counts, not the raw total.

Why the best DPS is not first overall
This is what surprises people most: the leader of this ranking sits around 24th in the overall one. Nothing is wrong — an attacker puts its points into ATK and pays in defences, so its total drops.
The DPS ranking corrects that with an explicit weighting:

Attack dominates, but it is not everything: a glass attacker that dies before it swings is useless, hence the 15 % HP. And the 15 % BREAK rewards those that can open the damage window themselves instead of waiting for someone else.
What matters more than the rank
The target’s element. An effective attack deals ×1.6, a badly chosen one ×0.625. The right element is therefore worth more than double the wrong one — a gap no stat ranking makes up for. The full table is in building a team.
The skill’s element, not the Aniimo’s. Several species cast skills of a different element than their own. It is the element of the skill used that decides effectiveness.
The level gap. Below the target’s level your damage drops and the damage you take rises, and it gets bad fast past five levels. An under-levelled DPS is not a good DPS.
Raising a DPS properly
- Level first. It is the heaviest lever, ahead of any fine-grained training.

Is one DPS enough to take down a boss?
No. Without someone to break the BREAK gauge, the window where damage counts double never opens. A lone DPS takes far longer.
