Astra stories: the city's nine short quests in Aniimo

Nine short stories play out in Astra, between FunTown, Horizon Square and ChillBeanz. None of them takes long, all of them revolve around an Aniimo and the person it lives with, and they mostly pay in Glimmer, Voxel Coins and Credits. Here is how each one starts and what to do.

At a glance

  • Where: Astra, the city Pathfinders come from: FunTown, Horizon Square, ChillBeanz, Shanel, Eco Park, the Polaris Institute.
  • How they start: by talking to the people involved, flagged on the city map.
  • Prerequisites: level 25 for Power of Homesickness and the Style Contest according to game data; nothing listed for the others.
  • Rewards: Glimmer, Safaris, Voxel Coins and Credits, plus a few one-off items.

1. Lost Scorchhowl

Outside FunTown, a boy is beside himself: his Emberpup doubled in size after playing with a new toy from the park, and his Scorchhowl has vanished. You search its favorite spots — the Piano Steps, the Lumen shop — before finding it at Wolfie’s, tiny: Shrinkstools shrank it, and it was hiding so the Emberpup would not see it lose its protector status. The Growth Agaric meant to restore its size makes it downright giant, and the boy draws the moral: whatever a companion looks like, what matters is having it around.

Step by step

  1. Ask the Emberpup’s owner what happened.
  2. Check the Piano Steps, then the Lumen shop, then Wolfie’s.
  3. Talk to the shrunken Scorchhowl, then use the item to restore its size.
  4. Talk to the enlarged Scorchhowl.

Rewards: 40 Glimmer, 300 Safaris, 50 Voxel Coins, 20,000 Credits.

2. Helpful Pranky

A girl is looking for the Pranky that healed her in Eco Park five years ago, before disappearing and leaving behind a collar marked Pippi. You check the park’s Prankys — too young, too aggressive, not the right one — then witness a familiar scene: a Leafy rushes over to heal a boy who slipped. Its owner recognizes the collar lost five years earlier: the selfless little Pranky grew up, and its kindness carried it all the way to that evolution.

Step by step

  1. Talk to the girl: she hands you the collar.
  2. Investigate the Prankys on the west side, the east side and the middle of the park.
  3. Listen in on the nearby conversation, then show the collar to Leafy’s owner.
  4. Go back and talk to Pippi’s owner.

Rewards: 40 Glimmer, 300 Safaris, 50 Voxel Coins, 20,000 Credits.

3. Power of Homesickness

In the Institute hall, a group of Cozites stares at Idyll without moving. Prof. Bohr has a theory: they are looking at their home, Sandcastle Hill. If nobody can settle them, they will have to be released and the research will stop. So you go photograph the hill and show the picture to a Cozite: the emotion is so strong that it evolves into a Bailite on the spot. Bohr logs the case and suggests you take your own Aniimo home to visit now and then.

Step by step

  1. Ask Bohr why the Cozites are sad.
  2. Reach Sandcastle Hill and take a photo.
  3. Show the photo to the Cozite, then finish talking to Bohr.

Rewards: 40 Glimmer, 300 Safaris, 50 Voxel Coins, 20,000 Credits. Level 25 required according to game data.

4. Architecture and Models

Lucas, who introduces himself as the “Chief Photographer”, is getting nowhere: Astra’s buildings were modeled on Idyll’s Aniimo, but stone stays cold through a lens. He asks you to bring the right Aniimo in front of four buildings, based on his descriptions: a purple and white flying creature with a golden star on its forehead for the gacha tower, a cotton-candy ball with turquoise spiral horns for Shanel — he names that one himself, a Nimbi — a dragon-type Aniimo with a sharp gaze and a star crystal for the Polaris Institute, and a small creature in a yellow flower dress with a lampshade hat for Lumen Accessories.

Once his shots work out, he gives you a private photo spot in the café garden… then admits at ChillBeanz that he made his title up. His conclusion: AI churns out perfect images by the dozen, and what is worth keeping are the imperfect moments — hair caught in the wind, an Aniimo sneezing.

Step by step

  1. Find the photographer and talk to him, then meet him in front of each building.
  2. Bring the Aniimo matching the clue: golden star on the forehead, cotton-candy look, sharp gaze, big hat.
  3. Go to ChillBeanz to meet Lucas.

Rewards: 60 Glimmer, 300 Safaris, 120 Voxel Coins, 40,000 Credits.

5. Nimbi’s Favorite Accessory

Near Shanel, a young woman wants to enter her Nimbi into a modeling audition and asks you to rate three outfits: a hat, a bow tie, glasses. The Nimbi could not care less — and drifts off after a courier to ChillBeanz, where it stares at the delivery locker, fascinated. One courier cap later, everything is clear: it does not want to model, it wants to deliver. The café hires it.

Step by step

  1. Talk to the owner, then check the hat, the bow tie and the glasses.
  2. Finish the conversation: the Nimbi is gone.
  3. Look for the Nimbi at ChillBeanz and talk to the staff.

Rewards: 40 Glimmer, 300 Safaris, 50 Voxel Coins, 20,000 Credits.

6. That’s Art! Not Scribbles!

At Horizon Square, the painter Shulala only draws round things. Four sketches, four riddles: work out which Aniimo he drew and bring it to him. The answers, which the game reveals when you get them right, are a Panpanta mid-roll, a Bouldus, a Pomegg and a Budclaw hiding in the sand.

At the end, he explains his obsession with circles: the Astrans’ homeland was a round blue planet covered in water, and nothing of it remains. He paints Idyll to find a reflection of it, and heads off to the Institute’s Hall of Memories for inspiration.

Step by step

  1. Talk to Shulala at Horizon Square and look at his sketch.
  2. Bring him the matching Aniimo, then talk to him again. Repeat for all four sketches.

Rewards: 30 Glimmer per sketch, plus the four paintings: Afternoon of the Blue Furball, Roar of the Bouldus, Pointillist Hatching Melody and Budclaw Under the Starry Sky.

7. Collect Voxel Coins

The Starwish Gacha owner knows where exclusive Voxel Coins are hidden… or rather his Celestis Stellalord does, since it stashes its finds and only talks in exchange for Starines. Each Starine opens a lead: behind the cave in Eco Park, outside Shanel, then on the tail of the Celestis statue by the shop — for that one he lends you a Holo-Bouncy Pad, normally only found at FunTown.

He also tells you how his shop came about, born from Stellalord’s passion for treasure hunting, and reminds you that new Voxel Coins appear in the city every day — including when you step on the musical light strips in the streets in the right order.

Step by step

  1. Give a Starine to the owner, then search Eco Park.
  2. Report back, hand over another Starine, then search outside Shanel.
  3. Repeat once more: the last stash is on the Celestis’s tail, reachable with the Holo-Bouncy Pad.

Rewards: 40 Glimmer, 500 Safaris, 100 Voxel Coins, 40,000 Credits, plus a Holo-Bouncy Pad along the way.

8. Aniimo Style Contest

Lumen and Aniidoles are running a style contest open to every Aniimo; host Oscar takes sign-ups at Horizon Square once the stage is built. Your rivals: Albert, the Super Claw manager, and his Jawling; Lin Shuang, the ChillBeanz manager, and her Glacy, Claire; a boy from the shopping district and his Bonesky. The audience votes, and your Aniimo wins — for its confidence and vitality, says Oscar, who is also a talent scout. After that edition, Aniimo fashion starts talking about care and bonds rather than flashy outfits.

Step by step

  1. Look for host Oscar at Horizon Square, wait for the stage to be finished, then sign up.
  2. Complete the match, then travel back to Astra.
  3. Equip an Aniimo with an accessory.

Rewards: 40 Glimmer, 500 Safaris, 100 Voxel Coins, 40,000 Credits. Level 25 required according to game data.

9. The Rolling Pomegg

Tiredor has had enough: his Pomegg Gurulu is rolling all over Astra and he has already run five laps of the city after it. You take over: the park’s dance zone, the seesaw, the Glacy statue near ChillBeanz, then the café’s second floor, where Gurulu finally falls asleep. Piecing the route together, Tiredor works it out: it is exactly the walk they took on their first visit to Astra, the day they met. Since then, studies and Idyll have taken over. He promises to do it again — walking, this time.

Step by step

  1. Talk to Tiredor, then look for Gurulu near the park’s dance zone.
  2. Find it near the seesaw, then near ChillBeanz.
  3. Go up to the second floor of ChillBeanz and finish the conversation. The quest log calls the Pomegg “Blubby” in two objectives, while the dialogue calls it Gurulu.

Rewards: 40 Glimmer, 300 Safaris, 50 Voxel Coins, 20,000 Credits.
